Chronic pain doesn’t just affect your body—it changes the way you live your life. 

You may not even notice it at first.  You start turning down plans here and there.  You avoid long car rides. You skip the weekend hike. You pass on invitations because you're not sure how your body will respond.

Pain Trains Us to Say “No” 

Living with chronic pain often means living with uncertainty. 

  • What if I flare up halfway through the day? 

  • What if I can’t keep up with everyone else? 

  • What if I fall, freeze up, or feel embarrassed?
